2655006 - Shopping Cart Self-Approval

While approving Shopping cart, Approver is getting error: "Shopping cart approval not possible".

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Managing My Area work center.
2. Go to Approvals view.
3. Search for the Shopping Cart's ID. 
4. Select the approval task.
5. Click in Approve button.

You get the error message:

Shopping cart approval not possible.

The user that is trying to approve the Shopping Cart is the creator of the Shopping Cart, the Requester or the Recipient.

This user will only be able to approve it if the question "Do you want to allow self-approval for shopping cart approvals?" is scoped in the Business Configuration.

Also note that Self approval question only covers the cases where the task is generated against the creator or requester or receipeint of the Shopping cart via the Direct Approvers, however, if it is any other Work distribution this question is not applicable.

Follow below steps to enable self-approval for Shopping carts:

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
3. Click on Edit Project Scope button. 
4. Click in Next until reach 'Step 4 Questions'.
5. Expand Purchasing.
6. Expand Self-Service Procurement.
7. Select Shopping carts.
8. You will see the question at the end of the list ("Do you want to allow self-approval for shopping cart approvals?"). 
9. Check mark it.
10. Complete the next steps.
