2655026 - App cannot be deployed from Web IDE to the SAPUI5 ABAP Repository

Symptom

The application has, i.e., the following structure:


webapp

  component A
    - component.js
    - manifest.json

  component B 
    - component.js

    - manifest.json
  - component.js
  - manifest.js

When trying to deploy the app to the ABAP repository an error is given:
"The project contains multiple manifest.json files".
