2655743 - You Cannot Hide The Role Field in The Account Quick Create

Symptom

You cannot hide the standard Role field in the Account Quick Create.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Customers work center.
  2. Go to the Accounts view.
  3. Open Adaption Mode > Edit Master Layout.
  4. Select the New button.
  5. Hover over the Role field.
  6. Select the Change Properties icon.
  7. The Visible property is greyed out.
  8. The Hide icon is also not available to select.

Cause

The Role field is set to Mandatory as standard and can therefore not be hidden via Adaptation mode. The same behavior exists for the Name field in the Quick Create.

Resolution

This is the expected system behavior since the 1705 upgrade.
