2655821 - Disable Authentication Method in Communication Arrangement

How to disable an authentication method listed under Supported Authentication Methods in the Communication Arrangements app?

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a new communication arrangment based on a standard communication scenario
2. Select a communication system and user for the arrangement
3. Now when selecting the authentication method for the inbound or outbound communicaiton, it will be greyed out
4. If you click on Supported Authentication Methods you will see all of the authentication methods supported for this specific communication scenario

•  To select a different authentication method for the user based on step 3 above, you must change the User Name for the inbound or outbound communication
• A communication user can be selected if they exist for the communication system
• If a communication user has more than one authentication method they will appear in the value help more than once
• Select the user with the authentication method that you require
• It is not possible to change the supported authentication methods for a communication scenario without requesting a change to that scenario from development
• Even if multiple authentication methods are supported, only the method selected with the user name for the inbound or outbound communication will be used
• When selecting a user and authentication method, you will not be able to select the user if that authentication method is not supported by the scenario
