Symptom
When you try to find the Production Order which triggered an Inspection, system displays a message 'No Records found'.
Environment
SAP Business Bydesign
Reproducing the Issue
-
Go to Quality Control Work Center.
- Navigate to Monitoring view and choose Inspections sub view.
- Choose All Inspections and find relevant Inspection ID.
- Under column: Reference, you see Production Order ID created against Inspection ID.
- Now go to Production Control Work Center.
- Go to Production Orders View and choose By Order Header.
- Choose All Production Orders and find required Production Order ID.
- Choose Go.
- Here system displays message: No records found.
Cause
The status of the Inspection is Canceled, it is only when the order that triggered the inspection is deleted, the system sends this information from production to quality assurance, where the inspection and its related objects are cancelled. Since the production order is deleted against the Inspection hence it is not available in the view.
The inspection cannot have the status Cancelled if the related production order has not been deleted.
Resolution
-
Go to Quality Control Work center.
- Navigate to Monitoring view and choose Inspections sub view.
- Choose All Inspections and find relevant Inspection ID.
- Here you see the Status of an Inspection ID as Canceled.
- This is an expected system behavior.
