2656978 - How To Add Fields To A Custom Section


After creating a new custom Section you find no fields available when trying to add them via Adapt.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the workcenter view where you want to add the new section.
  2. Click Adapt -> Edit Master Layout.
  3. Hover over an existing section until the tool menu appears.
  4. Click the plus icon.
  5. Click Add section.
  6. In the new window, click Add Section.

  1. Name the section.
  2. Apply.
  3. Within the section you do not have any fields available to be added when clicking the plus icon and Add Fields.


To support KUT fields, there has to be pane container.

In the new section, to add KUT fields, these must be created in the object header and then moved into the new section useing drag and drop.

When you move standard fields from the header, these fields will be removed from header and no longer available in the header.


Create KUT fields on header level of the object as needed.

Move the fields into the section via drag and drop.
