2657020 - Error Message:"Serialized Label not permitted for Serialized Product XXX"

You receive an error message :"Serialized Label not permitted for Serialized Product DEF" when trying to create a new label.

SAP Business Bydesign All Versions

1. Go to Production Control Work Center.
2. Go to Task Control View
3. Show all and search Task XXX (XXX stands for task ID).
4. Select Task XXX.
5. In the tool bar, click New Labels.
6. Select line with Product DEF (DEF stands for Product ID).
7. Change Label Type to "Serialized Product".
8. Navigate to Serial Number Tab.
9. Enter serial Number ABC (ABC stands for serial number).
10. Finally Click Create Serial Numbers.
11. Click Save.

 You receive error message:"Serialized Label not permitted for Serialized Product DEF".

This is a valid error, because Product DEF has serial number profile:Mandatory on all Logistics & Production Processes. Previously before introduction of serial number profile: Mandatory on all Logistics & Production Processes, serialized labels were allowed. Now for serial number profile "Mandatory on all Logistics & Production Processes" labeling of serialized product is stopped.

This is standard system behavior.
