2657980 - Fault Manager cannot get 'db host status' - SRS

Symptom

  • Fault Manager is installed on third node for HADR on Windows platform:

        C:\SAP\FaultManager>sybdbfm status
        fault manager running, pid = 1288, fault manager overall status = OK, currently
        executing in mode BOOTING
        *** sanity check report (5)***.
        node 1: server <hostname1>, site <site1_name>.
        db host status: UNKNOWN.
        db status OK hadr status PRIMARY.
        node 2: server <hostname2>, site <site2_name>.
        db host status: UNKNOWN.
        db status OK hadr status STANDBY.
        replication status: UNKNOWN.

  • Host Agent log shows the following error message after trace level 3 is turned on:

        [PID <nr>] [SAP][ASE ODBC Driver][Adaptive Server Enterprise]The optimizer could not find a unique index which it could use to perform an isolation level 0 scan on table 'tempdb..sapsybha'.

Note: To set trace level to 3, add service/trace = 3 to the profile file %ProgramFiles%\SAP\hostctrl\exe\host_profile.
