2659553 - Signal 11 in getvalue() when a stored procedure is executed - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A stored procedure execution randomly fails after raising a signal 11 (Segmentation fault) followed by a stack trace:

Current process (0x2a3f063e) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x00000000011d39c5 (getvalue+0x15), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000000000000004)

  • The stack trace includes functions:

getvalue
s_setreturns
execproc
s_execute

Note: A complete stack trace is available under Attachments.

  • Dropping and re-creating the stored procedure does not remedy the problem permanently.
