Symptom
When updating employee Standard Weekly Hours the FTE calculation displays several decimals on the UI.
However On Save, the FTE is save correctly with a maximum of 4 digits as configured.
Example: 100% is 42 hrs - if you maintain 90% employment i.e. 37.8 hrs/week
In this case the FTE field calculates with too many decimal places. Instead of 0.9 the system generated 0.8999999999999.
However, other percentages seem to work fine when the calculation does not result in multiple decimals.
Environment
Employee Central - Job
Reproducing the Issue
Change the Standard Working Hours
Cause
When the FTE is calculated in the UI, the System temporarily shows the whole value, but on save the server will round it to the correct decimal values and save it.
Resolution
Expected behaviour.
NOTE: Beside FTE, there may be other areas where this behaviour can be noticed.
The sample case reported here was specific to Switzerland.
