2660719 - Job Propagation for Contingent Worker

Symptom

The  End Contingent worker record is only being updated with the forward propagation if the latest active record and the End contingent record are the same.

This logic works only if you never make any changes retroactively.

Environment

Employee Central - Contingent Worker

Reproducing the Issue

  • Insert a record via History
  • Then attempt to make other retroactive changes

Cause

System design does not allow the forward propagation for the changes made via the 'history page'.

Resolution

Edit the Job Info via the 'edit' page(pencil icon) or Take Action, instead of the 'history' page(clock icon)

Editing via the 'edit' page will create a 'Data Change' record and the changes will be forward propagated.

Whereas doing the same via history will only work if the Event reason are the same. this will not be possible as the End Contingent worker "End CWK" is a termination event.

To prevent user making change via history, please consider restricting permission to edit history.
