2660771 - Cross-catalog search does not return any results

Symptom

Cross-catalog Search returns no results for any term, even if you get results for a relevant term when using the ESH_TEST_SEARCH program.

In some cases, when typing a term, there is a list of suggestions with products that match the search term, but still, no results are found after pressing Enter button.
