2661389 - Unable to Edit Time Off After Time Profile Changes in Job Information

After Time Profile change, "Time Type is not assigned for you on mm/dd/yyyy" error when employee edit the already approved leave request. 

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

1. Create a Leave Request with a time type: xxxx with an effective date 17th August 2026. 
2. Change the Time Profile in Job Information with an effective date of 1st August 2026. The new time profile don't have the time type used in the leave request. 
3. Try to edit the leave request.
4. Error shown : Time type xxxx is not assigned for Janet Mary on 08/17/2026.

• This is an expected system behavior.
• System validation is in place in the UI to ensure that users will not be able to change/update absences of time types which is no longer assigned to them in the job information.

Since the New time profile does not have the time type assigned, you can cancel the leave request and create a new leave request with a time type which is currently associated to the employee.
