2662093 - Unable to Add Custom Fields in Position Information Section - Employee Central

Error message when trying to add custom field to Position Information Section (jobInfo_positionInfoList).

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

• Go to Manage Business Configuration > jobInfo
• Add a Custom Field under Position Information Section;
• The system will trigger the following standard error: Field "XXXX" may not be assigned to section jobInfo_positionInfoList because the section does not allow custom fields.

Custom fields are not supported under Position Information Section. 

This validation is only available in Manage Business Configuration. Currently, the system does not perform this validation during Data Model imports. However, adding custom fields to the Position Information section via SDM import may lead to inconsistencies. We strongly recommend avoiding the configuration of custom fields in this section through imports.
