2662103 - Not Possible to Send Survey Link Via SMS

Symptom

You want to send a survey link via SMS using workflow rules.

Environment

SAP Cloud For Customer.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Administrator work center.
  2. Go to the Workflow Rules view.
  3. Click on New.
  4. Maintain all mandatory fields in the 'Enter Basic Data' section.
  5. Click on Next.
  6. Define relevant conditions for the workflow rule.
  7. Click on Next.
  8. Select the Rule Type as 'Messaging'.
  9. Enter the Sender and in the Text field use place holder for Survey ID. For example: #SURVEY123# where 123 is the Survey ID.
  10. Add the Placeholder in the Placeholder section, and select the relevant field.
  11. Enter recipient details.
  12. Click on Next > Finish.

The SMS is received, however it does not contain the survey link.

Cause

Currently, you can only send out a Survey link in emails.

Resolution

This is the standard behavior of the system.

 If you need this functionality urgently you may contact your implementation manager to help with such request or approach directly the SAP Cloud Service Center.
