2662526 - Can you search for content in products integrated with SAP Jam from within SAP Jam?

SAP Jam can be integrated with many products and SuccessFActors/BizX modules (e.g. Sharepoint, Learning).

Is it possible to search for content from integreated product (e.g. SharePoint documents once integrated with SAP Jam)?

Or is it only possible to search for contnet within an SAP Jam site if the content from the integreated product has been rendered and stored in SAP Jam storage?

What is the extent of the search capability that is available with SAP Jam?

Searching for content from integrated products sometimes does not return the expected results in SAP Jam

• Once a user views content in SAP Jam, it is indexed by SAP Jam's search for that user only.

• It is not indexed for other users as SAP does not have the access control list from SharePoint to know which users it needs to be index it for. Therefore SAP Jam only indexs it for the viewer as the system knows the user has access to the content, since they were able to view it.

• In relation to Sharepoing sn additional option is to use a Search Appliance that indexes both SAP Jam and SharePoint (this would require custom development work), and then expose that Search Appliance through a custom header that makes calls to the Search Appliance and renders the results outside of SAP Jam.
