Symptom

When using the sample OData backend in SAP Cloud Platform mobile services, user authentication fails and the following errors appear in server log:

  • The logged in user does not have any of the required roles [Administrator, Developer]
  • Finished sending request to back end https://hcpms-ACCOUNT_NAME.hanatrial.ondemand.com/SampleServices/ESPM.svc in XXX ms. HTTP status from the back end is 403
