Symptom
On account and contact conversion of leads, the relationship information of new contacts is deleted.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
-
Go to the Sales work center.
-
Go to the Leads view.
-
Click on New.
-
Maintain an existing account and a new contact name.
-
Save and open.
-
Edit the Contact section by maintaining relationship information such as phone number or department.
-
Go to Actions: Associate Account and Contact.
-
Select the proposed existing account from the duplicate check.
-
Save and open.
Result: The maintained relationship information for the contact has been deleted.
Resolution
This is currently the expected system behaviour.
The enhancement of lead association/conversion has been added to the product backlog and is planned to be included in a future release, so that all contact relationship is taken over for new contacts of an existing account.
