2663260 - Date Format After Data Source Extraction to BW

You have exposed a data source and extracted the data to BW. This data source contains key figures which are dates. You notice that in BW, the format is different. For example, it may show numbers like 736.815,000 instead of the date.

Date key figures are always transferred as numbers to BW. This is required from a technical point of view, for example to enable an aggregation.

You would need to make sure that BW interprets this data accordingly. For example, you can create a new key figure in BW as an InfoObject and set the data type as Date / DEC. In the data source, keep the value as integer (INT4). Please also see the screenshot in the attachment of this document.
