2664719 - Customer Demand is Automatically Released Unexpectedly

Customer demand is automatically released unexpectedly.

SAP Business Bydesign All Versions

1. Go to Outbound Logistics Control work center.
2. Go to Customer Demand view.
3. Search Sales Order XYZ (XYZ represents Sales Order ID).

You can see that its customer demand is released. However, you did not manually release it.

Under Delivery Section, you can define a delivery priority for the sales order. For sales order XYZ, you choose "Immediate" for the delivery prority.  If you choose Immediate for the Delivery Priority, the sales order is treated as a rush order and is released to the execution department automatically. That is, this order is set to Released automatically in the Customer Demand view of the Outbound Logistics Control work center.

This is standard system behavior. You can change the delivery priority to others, if you don't want system to automatically release the customer demand.
