Symptom

  • The following error is displayed while opening a Lumira Discovery document on Lumira Designer: “Problems while accessing data”.
  • The full exception stack can be seen in the local Lumira Designer logs (C: > Users > YourUser > LumiraDesigner-workspace > .metadata > .log):

org.eclipse.e4.core.di.InjectionException: java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.sap.ip.bi.zen.rt.lumx.services.ILumxDocument.getMimeNames() of a null object returned from com.sap.ip.bi.zen.connectivity.DocumentInfo.getDocument()
