2665403 - User Can Search And View Accounts Via The Header Search Even Though Are Not Assigned To The Sales Unit

Symptom

Business users can find and view customer accounts even though they are not assigned to the sales unit.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Work Center Account Management.
  2. Go to the View Accounts.
  3. Show all accounts.
  4. Find accounts assigned with a sales unit which is not assigned to the user.

Cause

This is the expected system behavior.

Resolution

Access restriction for accounts in Account Management is based on responsible employee instead of sales unit. Therefore, any sales unit assignment will not be considered.
