2665884 - Time Sheet Validation Rule Trigger on Incorrect Date

Symptom

Validation error message is raised for unexpected days when submission is carried out.

Reproducing the Issue

In below time sheet validation rule, it raises error when the currently edited day is not Today.

And this time sheet validation rule has been assigned to a Time Recording Profile.

With this time sheet validation rule, it is expected that the error message will be raised when the employee is creating, editing time recording entry on a day that is not today.

But when you submit the time sheet without creating any new or changing any existing record, the same error is also raised.

Cause

This is an expected behavior.

Resolution

The Validation Rule attached to the Time Recording Profile checks all the days within the time sheet period when submission action is taken.
