2667012 - Employment Details vs Employee Information Alerts

• Alert Rule to trigger on a value set in a field in employment details, for example: Probation end date, hire date, Eligible for Stock, termination date
• Why does Employee Information not work for a Save Alert Rule?

Employment Details / Employment Details Model:

• The example rule below uses this base object: Employment Details/Employment Details Model. 
• Please note, the model name in the rule selection drop-down may be different depending on the label you use for this HRIS Element.
• In case of an alert, all records are created after new hire, that is why you have to use Employment Details Model as the base object.

Note:

Base object Employment details will not work for changes, it will work on new hire only. It is not effective  dated.

Employee Information / Employee Information Model: (which is a navigation start point to all other entities)

• Employee Information  is used only in new hire process, for example new hire on save rules, and so on.
• This refers to the hireActionBean
• Employee Information.jobinfo will not get any value after the employee has been hired into the system

Correct Example for an "Alert Rule" for a New Hire employee:

• This rule has the goal to set an alert for a US non-contactor employee
• The Base Object is set to Employment Details Model
• This rule will be called under the Employment Info (employementDetails) element within Manage Business Configuration or the Succession Data Model.
