1. Is there an app to manage the operating concern ?
   
   No, in SAP S/4HANA Cloud, one account-based operating concern is predefined by the system and running in the background.
   You can’t maintain the operating concern manually. It’s also not possible to generate a user-defined operating concern in parallel. There are no template operating concerns.

5. Is it possible to activate costing based profitability analysis in the cloud ?
   

   No, it isn’t possible to use costing-based profitability analysis in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. It’s also not planned to make costing-based profitability analysis available in SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

6. How can I configure accounts for  "Splitting the cost of goods sold" ?
   

   A cost splitting profile is predelivered by SAP and can be adapted to your requirements using the configuration activity Define Accounts for Splitting the Cost of Goods Sold. Only if the source and target accounts are defined can a COGS split take place. For more information, see the respective configuration help in your system and the following product assistance:

7. How can I define derivation rules for profitability characteristics ?
   
   A fixed set of derivation rules is predefined and delivered in SAP S/4HANA Cloud for profitability characteristics of operating concern (A000). The predefined derivation rules cannot be changed in SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
   You can use the Manage Substitution / Validation Rules to define substitution rules for the business context Accounting: Market Segment.

8. Are attributed account assignments to Profitability Segment available ?
   
   Yes, this functionality is available. SAP Best Practices content is shipped to activate attributed account assignments to profitability segments automatically. For more information, see Profitability Characteristics in Journal Entries.
   
   
9. Is it possible to deactivate Profitability Analysis ?
   
   No. This is not possible.
