2667972 - Error Message: "Sales Organization does not exist" While Blocking the Sales Area in Products

Your requirement is to block the Sales area of some Products in system. Upon trying to block the Sales area in Products, system throws the below error:

Sales Organization XXXXX does not exist

*XXXXX represents the Sales Organization ID

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to Products work center
2. Go to Product Administration
3. Find the Product ID 
4. Open the Product 
5. Go to the Sales facet
6. Select the Sales Organization entry which you want to block
7. Select the gear wheel icon, choose Block
8. System throws the mentioned error

You are unable to block the Sales area in Products because the Sales Organization flag is removed in the Organizational unit XXXXX. That is, you have deselected the Sales Organization indicator in the Organizational unit XXXXX. Therefore, when Sales Organization flag is removed, this is no more a valid Sales Organization.

Any action on the Sales process (Activate, Block) will check the existence of Sales Organization. In this case, since you already removed the Sales Organization flag in the Organizational Unit XXXXX. Therefore, this is no more a valid Sales Organization and therefore, Status change in Sales area of the Product is not allowed.

Before deleting any Sales Organization data, the usages have to be removed. To block the Sales process in Products, the Sales Organization used in a Product Sales area should first be a valid Sales Organization. That is, Sales Organization flag should be set.

You may follow the below steps in your system:

1. Go to the Organizational Management
2. Go to Org Structures view 
3. Find the respective Organizational Unit XXXXX
4. Select Edit
5. In the header section, add the flag for Sales Organization
6. Select Save

Now, you will be able to Block the Sales area in Products.
