2668144 - How to debug and view ADS exceptions on ABAP system

Symptom

  • ADS processing fails with the generic message: "ADS: com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.Processing(200101)". To diagnose the issue with ADS rendering, it is typically necessary to activate the ADS trace on the JAVA system.
  • Refer to the following SAP Notes for instructions on how to activate the ADS trace for different NetWeaver releases:
    • SAP Note 846610 - How to activate ADS trace
    • SAP Note 1128476 - How to activate ADS trace in NW7.10 and higher

  • When ADS is connected from the ABAP system, this KBA introduces an alternative option to debug and check the detailed exception message using the ABAP debugger.
