2668390 - CRTR3INST failed - Could not create sapservices entry

Symptom

An error occurs during CRTR3INST when running SWPM. The sapinst_dev.log shows the error below.

CRTR3INST SID(<SID>) INST(<nn>) ROLE(*ASCS) INSTHOST('<hostname>') CODEPAGE(*UNICODE) failed. Return: 65280;CPF0006: Errors occurred in command..).

When you run the command manually on the command line, the joblog (DSPJOBLOG) shows the errors below.

CreateInstObjects: Could not create sapservices entry                     

CrtR3Inst: Error creating instance objects for instance <nn> of system <SID>. 

CRTR3INST: Failed to create instance <nn> for system <SID>.
