2669011 - What permissions are needed to display the connections in menu page of SAC

Set create permission of connection in role, user assigned to this role cannot see the connection tab in the menu page

•  SAP Analytics Cloud 2018.12.1

1. Create a custom role and set "Create" permission of connection.
2. Assign one user to this role.
3. Login to SAC using this user.
4. The connection tab in menu page cannot be displayed.
5. The connection tab in menu page can be seen if the three rights below is set to the role.
   Execute permission of Other Datasources
   Read permission of connection
   Maintain permission of connection

The behavior is by design.

To show up the connection item, we need the permissions below:

Connection - Maintain (Note: the Connection - Read permission automatically gets selected when the Maintain permission is selected)
Other Datasources - Execute

OR

Connection - Maintain
SAP Cloud Platform Datasource - Execute
System Information – Update

Note: Make sure the connection is shared with the desired users.
