Symptom

  • The "Infected with signal 11" error in the tree_copynames() module followed by a stack trace is reported in the ASE errorlog:

Address 0x4000000002445700 (tree_copynames+0x200), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x2f39370000000008)

  • The stack trace includes modules:

  • This error was reported 5 times within 1 month when a particular stored procedure was executed via isql by the same login.
  • Every time the same statement number (17) on the same line number (122) caused the error.
