2669137 - Inventory Allocation Report Does Not Display Data

You have created a report from the data source Inventory Allocation. When executing the report the report is not showing the allocation of products for which customer demand is released.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Analytics work center
2. Navigate to the Design Data Sources veiw.
3. Search for the data source Inventory Allocation, select it and choose the Preview button.
4. You can see that the report does not display the details of a product for which you have released the customer demand.

The Issue can also be reproduced by executing the report created from the data soruce.

The Inventory Allocation report provides details of the allocated inventory at a Location and Logistics Area for a particular document. This means that if you have only released the customer demand for a product Inventory will not be allocated for the product. If ATP is confirmed for the product it only means that the relevant quantity is resereved for the product and not allocated.

If you need the Inventory Allocation report to fetch data you will have to process the Logistics Process at your end via warehouse tasks. Once you create warhouse task for the Delivery Proposals created when the customer demand is released, you will see that the Inventory Allocation report is displaying the details of the product you expect to see in the report. If the report is not displaying the value of a product for which only customer demand is released then the system is working as designed.
