Symptom

It might be necessary to calculate profit associated with transportation charges during subcontracting transportation services. Measuring the profitability of a firm’s customers or customer groups can often deliver useful business insights.

While it is usually clear what revenue each customer order generated, it is often not clear that what costs the firm incurred serving each customer order. Using cost distribution feature of TM90, profitability analysis provides a better picture in terms of profit/loss generated per order.
