Symptom

  • While performing an upgrade of a JAVA system using Software Update Manager (SUM), the following error occurs in Detect Source Products Step

    • In SUM GUI:
The following error or errors have occured during the execution of the current step:
SUM did not find any active products in your SAP system. Possible reason might be that key software components, used for detecting SAP products, were
undeployed from the system
    • In DETECT-SOURCE-PRODUCTS_XX.LOG:
<Date, Time> [Error ]: The following problem has occurred during step execution: 
com.sap.sdt.j2ee.tools.usages.DetectProductException: SUM did not find any active products in your SAP system. Possible reason
might be that key software components, used for detecting SAP products, were undeployed from the system..
