Symptom

  • [CS] CS Fatal Error. Error while reading the cs.cfg file: Error on read of CFG XML file : <installdir>\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer\cs.cfg
  • Connection Server 32 does not start
  • Other servers in the environment may also fail to start
  • Solution Manager was recently installed or configured
  • Problem starts after a restart of the SIA or connection server
