2670489 - Member Determination For Target Groups Does Not Take Place When Its Respective Conditions Are Extension Fields

How to add KUT extension fields to Dynamic Target Groups.

Prerequisite:

You created an extension field ABC (ABC represents your created extension field) in the Contacts TI on header level, and added the extension scenario Contact – General Information to Target Group – Contact Selection to it.

You intend to use it as criteria to target Contacts in your Member Determination.

1. Go to the Sales Campaign workcenter.
2. Go to the Target Group view.
3. Click New.
4. Name your Target Group and check the Member Determination flag.
5. Click Save and Open.
6. Go to the Member Determination facet.
7. Under the Contact section, click Add.
8. Add field ABC as a condition.
9. Save.
10. Set the Determination for Immediate.
11. Save and Close.

Result: The Member Determination does not return any Contacts. The Target Group is empty.

The KUT field needs to be added to the relevant section (in our example: Add Contacts) of the advanced search of a STATIC Target Group Members view!

The extension field you create for the Contacts BO needs to be extended to the Target Group BO.

For Contacts by Extension Scenario: Contact - General Information to Target Group - Contact Selection .

Creating the KUT field.

In this example, we are using the Contacts view. The extension scenario depends on the view your KUT field is in, but has to be extended from the BO it is created from to Target Group. 

1. Go to the Customers work centre.
2. Go to the Contacts view.
3. Open any contact where the KUT field is available.
4. Enter Adaptation mode (user-drop down icon > Start Adaptation).
5. Select the section the field is in.
6. Open the field.
7. Click Edit.
8. In the KUT field screen, click the pencil icon to enter Edit mode.
9. Navigate to 'Extension Scenarios'.
10. Check and select:

• Contact - General Information to Target Group - Contact Selection
• > Business Partner Relationship - General Information to Target Group - Target Group Selection Conditions for Account Contact
• > Business Partner - General Information to Target Group - Target Group Selection Conditions for Account Contact

11. Save your KUT field.

Add the field to the Dynamic Target Group:

1. Go to the Sales and Campaigns work centre.
2. Go to the Target Groups view.
3. Open or create a dynamic Target Group.
4. Enter Adaptation mode (user-drop down icon > Start Adaptation).
5. Navigate to the Member Determination facet. 
6. Select the section for which you have created the KUT field with the relevant extension scenario. 
7. In the right side pane, click 'Add' -> 'Field'.
8. If correctly extended, the KUT field will be available for selection.
9. Select and Apply.
10. End Adaptation mode. 

The KUT field also needs to be added to the Advanced Search in a Static Target Groups! Please follow these steps:

You can either adapt the extension field from an existing static Target Group or create a new one:

1. Go to the Sales Campaign work center
2. Go to the Target Group view
3. Click New.
4. Name the Target Group.
5. Keep the Member determination checkbox clear.
6. Save & Open.
7. Enter Adaptation mode (click the user drop-down menu > Start Adaptation).
8. Go to the Members tab.
9. Under the Members section, click Add -> Add Contacts (for example).
10. Right-click into a field in the window to display the adaptation mode for this view.
11. Select the section where you want to add the field.
12. In the right pane, select Add -> Field.
13. Either select an existing or create a new KUT field ABC. 
14. Click 'Apply' to add the field to the UI.
15. Leave adaptation.
16. Finalize your static Target Group.
17. Save and Close.

Custom Fields created under Accounts->Sales Data will available only for following Extension Scenarios

Account - Sales Data to Activity - General Information
Account - Sales Data to Contract - General Information
Account - Sales Data to Opportunity - General Information
Account - Sales Data to Sales Document - General Information
Account - Sales Data to Service Request - General Information
