Symptom

  • SWPM 1.0 SP23 is being used to migrate from Oracle to SAP ASE 16.0.03.xx
  • During the upgrade process, the following error is returned:

ERROR 2018-07-09 15:19:27.632 (root/sapinst) id=controller.stepExecuted errno=FCO-00011
The step syb_step_setup_db_server with step key |NW_ABAP_Additional_DB|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_CreateDBwithoutLoad|ind|ind|ind|ind|createdbnoload|0|NW_CreateDB|ind|ind|ind|ind|createdb|0|NW_SYB_DB|ind|ind|ind|ind|SYB_DB_CONTEXT|0|syb_step_setup_db_server was executed with status ERROR (Last error reported by the step: Assertion failed: Detected database connection issues for host strsap<ID> with port 4901 and database server name <SID>.
Database connect via isql tool is possible.
Database connect via JDBC driver is not possible.
