2671467 - Expense Reports are Pending Audit Even Though Audit Is Not Required per Configuration

Some expense reports are pending audit but audit is not required in configuration

Go to Travel and Expense Report work center and view Expense Reports and there are some expense reports pending for audit.

Go to Business Configuration work center and open the task of Business Task Management for Expense and Reimbursement, audit is not required.

All the related Expense Reports have already been in status ‘In Approval’. Then an auditor (or user with Audit role) edit these reports again and save them. In this case the Expense Report is set back to status ‘Pending Audit’ even if there is no Audit required from Audit & Approval Settings in Business Configuration. This is the intended standard behavior. The reason for this behavior is that we assume, that if an auditor explicitly edits and saves an expense report in status ‘In Approval’ he really intends to audit it.

If you don’t want to have the expense report in status ‘Pending Audit’, the auditor shall press ‘Return for Revision’ instead of editing and saving the Expense Report. Then the expense report is set back to status ‘Not Submitted’.
