Symptom
When an admin tries to publish a survey they are getting validation error on domain not existing or is not the correct type.
Environment
SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS) - All Supported Versions
Reproducing the Issue
When a admin follows the below steps when creating and trying to publish a survey they get the validation error
-
Create survey with domain - 'Test'
-
Save the draft of the survey.
-
Change domain to 'Public' from summary page.
-
Delete the domain - 'Test' from System admin -> Security->Domain
- Try to Publish it and we will get the error
Cause
This is expected behaviour. Before the domain was deleted it will have two tables in the database populated.
When this Domain is then changed and deleted it will only be removed from one of the database tables which will give us the error when we try to publish.
Add back in the domain that is coming up in the validation error and that was deleted. Then try to publish the survey again and this should work fine and publish
Resolution
Add back in the domain that is coming up in the validation error and that was deleted. Then try to publish the survey again and this should work fine and publish
