System crashes opening General Ledger Accounts view, in General Ledger work center.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Go to the General Ledger Accounts view.
3. Click Advanced button.
4. Enter Company ID XXX and Set of Books ID YYY (XXX represents the Company ID and YYY represents the Set of Books ID).
5. Dump is thrown.

Remark: If the user is hired under Company ID XXX, this Company is assigned only to Set of Books YYY and the user only has access to this Company ID, the dump will be thrown already in step 2 above, since Company ID XXX and Set of Books YYY will be preloaded in the selection.

The dump is thrown due to a missing fiscal year defined for the fiscal year variant assigned to Set of Books YYY on the date you are trying to open General Ledger Accounts view.

For example:

• Set of Books YYY is assigned to Fiscal Year Variant ZZZ (ZZZ means the Fiscal Year Variant).
• The Last Day Of Fiscal Year for ZZZ is 31.07.YYYY, and you are trying to open the General Ledger Accounts view on 01.08.YYYY.
• Since there's no fiscal year valid for 01.08.YYYY, the dump is thrown.

A new fiscal year should be created for the respective Company XXX, Set of Books YYY and Fiscal Year Variant ZZZ to embrace the present calendar date.

1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
2. Select the view Set of Books and Assigned Companies.
3. Select  Company XXX, Set of Books YYY.
4. Select Edit Fiscal Year.
5. Select New Fiscal Year.

Now that the new Fiscal Year is added, you can complete the filter in the General Ledger Accounts view.
