- SAP Jam file sync client icon grayed out.
- Client shows sync error "File or directory name exceeds file system limits".

Cause
The issue is due to excessively long Jam group and/or folder names which causes the directory path length to exceed the Windows limitation of 260 characters. As a result, the File sync client fails to sync such groups/folders in the local directory.
Resolution
Solution is to shorten the Group and/or Folder names so as to bring the path length within windows limits.
