2674486 - SYSAM tries to check out the wrong license type - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • On an ASE set up with license type (LT) = CP
  • After increase in required licenses
  • ASE tries to check out DT licenses, when sufficient CP licenses are available:

SySAM: Increasing license quantity due to increase in processor resources.
SySAM: Checked out license for 24 ASE_CORE (2018.12310/permanent/ABCD 1234 EFGH 5678).
SySAM: Increasing license quantity due to increase in processor resources.

SySAM: Failed to obtain license(s) for ASE_PARTITIONS feature from License Server 12345@license.server.host.name.
SySAM: Insufficient ASE_PARTITIONS CPU licenses. ASE requires 24 ASE_PARTITIONS ("DT") CPU licenses for use on this machine but only 7 could be obtained.
