2675379 - My Tasks tile on the Homepage shows an inaccurate number

Symptom

  • The number of Tasks on the Home page My Task widget shows zero even though you have Tasks assigned.
  • My Tasks tile on the Homepage shows an inaccurate number.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log on to the system with the affected User.
  2. Go to the Homepage dashboard.
  3. My Tasks tile shows the number XXX.
  4. Click the My Tasks tile.
  5. It will navigate you to the My Tasks query, where you will see the number of tasks is YYY.

Resolution

The My Tasks tile on the Homepage will not display completed/cancelled tasks even if they are visible under the My Tasks query. It will only display the list of tasks that are overdue and due in the future and in "Open" or "In Process" status. However, the My Tasks query within the Task OWL will include completed and canceled tasks. This is a designed system behavior that can not be changed.
