2675831 - Error While Adding Sub Territories 'Entry 123 Not Valid'

Symptom

You get the error 'Entry 123 not valid' while adding a sub-territory.

Environment

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales workcenter.
  2. Go to Territories view.
  3. Click on New and select 'New Sub Territory'.
  4. The Parent Territory field is auto populated with value 123(where 123 is Parent Territory ID).

You get the error 'Entry 123 not valid', though this Territory ID exists in the system.

Cause

This issue occurs because while creating new Sub Territory, the Parent Territory ID 123 is getting passed.

The system will be validating this Territory ID if it has more than 2 characters. While validating the system will check against default query results for Parent Territory field. If the default query maintained is for example 'My Territory', this will not result in displaying all the Territories and hence the system displays error - 'Entry 123 not valid'.

Resolution

You need to change the default query to 'All' or relevant query which can retrieve relevant results.
