2676022 - A leading zero is added to labels with odd numbers

Symptom

When printing labels, the system is adding a leading zero to the form template.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Outbound Logistics Work Center
  2. Go to Labels common task
  3. Select a label
  4. Select Preview
  5. Scan the barcode
  6. See that a leading zero has been added

Cause

This is the expected system behavior.

The 0 (Prefiix) is added in the SAP provided form template itself for the labels which have odd number of digits in its ID.

For instance: 100 -> 0100, 1234 -> 1234, 456-> 0456, 89->89.

Resolution

This is the expected logic of the system to keep the length of bar code even.
