Symptom

After an upgrade of your HANA Database, the SAP IQ SDA connection to HANA fails with the following error:

Check ODBC drivers......
Load main driver "/usr/sap/iq_odbc/IQ-16_0/lib64/libdbodbc16_r.so" failed. Please make sure the file (and its dependency files) is in the search paths of libraries

HANA Studio shows the following:

sap dbtech jdbc:[403] internal error: cannot get remote source objects:[sap][odbc driver manager] unable to load driver :/usr/sap/iq odbc/iq-16_0/lib64.
