  • ASE errorlog reports a stack trace with signal 11 at address pss__get_free_pss
  • This affects the ASE listener
  • As a result ASE is hung and not accepting new connections
  • Typical log entries include:

    Current process (0x710039) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
    Address 0x0x0000000001e90a2a (pss__get_free_pss+0x4a), ...

    Listener with protocol tcp, host host_name, port xxxx has been terminated due to timeslice error. You can start a new listener on the same port.
