While editing existing opportunity, it is possible to save even though the start date is greater than the end date.
Only a warning message is shown instead of an error message.
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
Go to the Sales work center.
- Go to the Opportunities view.
- Open any Opportunity.
- Click Edit.
- Change the 'Start Date' to a date after the 'End Date'.
- Observe: there is a warning message instead of an error message and you can save the changes.
Currently, the application only throws a warning message.
We will plan to include a message severity check in the Opportunity fine-tuning in the future, so that you can upgrade this to an error and prevent save.
This can also be achieved via KUT. You can use the adapt mode to add a validation message which throws an error when end date is less than start date and prevent save.
