Symptom

When performing SAML 2.0 authentication it fails and the following the error message can be seen in the SAML 2.0 trace:

SAML20 SP (client 100 ): 'Name ID value '<userID>' cannot be mapped to any user alias'
[...]
SAML20 SAML20 CX_SAML20_FEDERATION: No user found with alias '<userID>' (format: unspecified). Long text: No user found with alias '<userID>' (format: unspecified).
