2676702 - EC Alerts and Notifications: What happens when the Alert Message definition used by a saveAlert rule is Deleted from Manage Data?


What if the alert message in the manage data gets deleted?

Reproducing the Issue

When any alert message is deleted permenantly under manage data

Admin tools-->manage data-->alert message-->(choose any)-->right hand side "take action" -->delete permenantly

then when you try to access the alert from the home page you would get to see as below

Since the respective alert message and the respective data is deleted under manage data the header just shows up "alert for"


From 1808 you shall notice "alert for" header on the home page "take action" alert items, for any deleted alert message under manage data.
