Enable MDF Talent Pool in Upgrade Center with b1808 release

With b1808 release, MDF Talent Pool can be enabled via Upgrade Center.

What is it?

You can now enable MDF Talent Pools for succession planning in Admin Center > Upgrade Center. Previously, it was only possible through Provisioning (backend).
MDF Talent Pools offer an alternative approach to succession planning by allowing you to group successors into pools, and auto-assign pools to positions based on the positions’ job role. Talent Pools can also be used to group your talent for non-succession related needs like development plans, rotation programs, or high-potential pools.

Why is it important?

Clients now have an easy option to make use of MDF Talent Pools without having to engage an implementation partner or SAP Cloud Support.

MDF Talent Pools provide detailed role-based permission control (for the pools and for the target population of users that can be nominated). Being an MDF object, MDF Talent Pools can also be extended with customer-specific fields that can be used to define different categories / purposes.

Prerequisites

• Role-Based Permissions are enabled
• Metadata Framework (MDF) Generic Objects are enabled
• Attachment Manager is enabled
